Alexandra Jung Named Recipient of 100WHF’s 2016 European Industry Leadership Award to be presented at London Gala

London – 28 July, 2016 – 100 Women in Hedge Funds (100WHF) today announces that Alexandra Jung, Partner and Co-Head of European Investments at Oak Hill Advisors L.P., (Oak Hill), a leading alternative investment firm with approximately USD 27 billion under management across performing and distressed credit related investments, will be presented the 100WHF 2016 European Industry Leadership Award at the organisation’s annual London Gala on 10 October, 2016.

Each year, 100WHF identifies a woman whose professional talent, business ethics, and passion for investing help define and advance the hedge fund industry's standards of excellence.

Ms. Jung is  responsible for directing Oak Hill's investments in European companies and co-managing the firm’s European operations.  As a Partner and Portfolio Manager, she sits on various European and Global Investment Committees across credit and distressed strategies.  She joined the firm in 2009 and previously served as a Managing Director. Additionally, she currently serves on the board of Casual Dining Group, one of the UK's largest restaurant businesses.

Prior to joining Oak Hill, Ms. Jung was a Managing Director at Greywolf Capital Management where she was responsible for investments in performing and distressed credit.  She joined Goldman Sachs’ leverage finance trading business in 1999 and was relocated to London to focus on credit and equity investing as part of the formation of European Special Situations investing group. Ms. Jung started her career at Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin in the Financial Restructuring Group. She has over 20 years of experience in the investment management and financial services industries and is a frequent speaker at industry and investor conferences. She earned a Masters of Management from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.A., cum laude, from Bucknell University.  She is also a member of the Women Corporate Directors Foundation.

Each year, 100WHF's Board of Directors selects a charitable organisation for its philanthropic initiative on a rotating basis from women's and family health, mentoring and education programmes. This year's global theme is mentoring and net proceeds from the London Gala will be given to SkillForce in association with HRH The Duke of Cambridge's patronage of 100WHF' Philanthropic Initiatives. SkillForce is a national education and veterans charity that seeks to transform the lives of young people through motivational mentoring and education programmes, for five to nineteen year olds, delivered mostly by ex-services personnel.

To date, 100WHF has raised more than $38 million (gross) globally for charitable causes.
100WHF will celebrate its fifteenth anniversary this year  at its Galas in New York, London, Geneva and Hong Kong.

The organisation will also present the 2016 100WHF North America Industry Leadership Award at the New York Gala, and the 2016 100WHF Asia Industry Leadership Award at the Hong Kong Gala.
